It is with regret that we report the death of Monica Jones, close friend and partner of Philip Larkin. As a small tribute I have replaced the scheduled poem, selected by Professor Richard Hoggart, with 'The little lives of earth and form'. Selected by Sir Tom Courtenay 'for its tenderness and lyricism', this poem was inspired by Monica Jones.
